(Lite Version Shown Above)
3D Fireworks 2 is the sequel to the original, well-reviewed 3D Fireworks, with an entirely new engine that was built from the ground up, ready just in time for Independence Day on July 4th. Like its predecessor, it lets you experience the thrill and beauty of your own personal fireworks exhibition any time you like. This stunning sequel provides many of the same features as the original, but has a much improved look and feel, as well as a full city-scape park scene with many configuration options.

The application provides a choice between auto-pilot mode, which automatically launches rockets at a frequency you specify, and manual mode, which allows you to launch a new rocket each time you touch the screen and cancels auto-pilot mode temporarily. You can fully control your 3D view of the fireworks display using the touch screen to rotate the camera a full 360 degrees, or to zoom the camera either all the way out to view the entire city scape scene or all the way in to get a close up shot of the fireworks alone. If you see something you particularly like, pause the show, while still maintaining control of the camera, to take screen shots or savor a particular explosion from any angle.

The UI is intuitive and easy to use, including a number of useful features and configuration options. The time of day can be switched between dusk and night, changing the entire look of the sky and the scene. You can run the application while playing your own music in the background, or turn sounds off entirely. The application also respects the master silence switch and hardware volume controls on the iPhone.

Features: A free lite version of the application is also available for those who want to preview before buying. The lite version has default values that cannot be changed for each of the configuration options and only offers auto-pilot mode, but allows the user to get a good idea of the application's look and feel. The plugin at the top of this page allows you to preview the lite version in your web browser. You can also download it for your phone. Note that the lite version on the device allows you to zoom in and out, but the browser version does not.
